STMS school families donated care items for active military. The items were sorted into individual blessing bags and packaged by 8th grade volunteers. Dr. Kevin O'Shea, parent of 10 alumni, has several children that are active in the military. He helped 8th grade volunteers to address and send packages to two military bases located in Korea and Saudi Arabia.
Munster Fireman met with our younger students to talk about Fire Safety during Fire Prevention Week. The students were then given the opportunity to learn about the fire trucks and the gear the fireman use.
Students from St. Thomas More School collected monetary donations and items for the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans. The Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans is a non-profit agency that provides housing, supportive services and community outreach to help homeless and at-risk veterans and their families achieve self-sufficiency. Founded in 2007, by Vietnam War veteran Bob Adams and Gulf War veteran Dirk Enger, MSHV operates on a vision of no veteran left behind due to homelessness, joblessness, poverty and/or mental health issues: No Hero Left Behind

D.A.R.E. is a police officer-led series of classroom lessons that teaches children from kindergarten through 12th grade how to resist peer pressure and live productive drug and violence-free lives.
